I figured I'd probably note, I closed down my old sites (which where itsamultitudeofawesome.weebly.com & rotrubin.weebly.com) and moved to sweetraspberrytea.weebly.com

Also idk but Stormnicki's site seems to be down? I can't access it : ( That's really sad, I love her dolls ;w;
And does anyone know what happened to Sissy-Baby? I forgot her URL sadly;;; but it was gone last time I checked I think;;
Also Bunnystick has DHF's bases on her site, and probably good to note ;w;

Also the link for Pixel Junkies that's listed on the front page: (http://pixeljunkies.fateback.com/index2.html) leads to some domain buying site.
Daftempire.zzl.org is broken (and amightyfrog.deviantart.com doesn't have anything on it : ( )
The link for Jishins site doesn't work, ( http://cherryville.beautiful-liar.net), but this one does!
Shouri (lazydays.shouri.com.ar I think) is gone, unless I mis-typed the URL,
Rhapsody-girly.sindlene.net is gone too I think (and she archived her bases on dA :c
http://nuklear.pink-ninjas.com/index.html is gone.
http://ubiique.sindlene.net/ seems to be gone. (she also has 2 dA's, ubiique and turtleisle I believe).
http://pixellite.tripod.com/ moved to http://pixellite.weebly.com/
http://www.freewebs.com/lindel/ is on hiatus, and as such her site has nothing on it, but all her stuff is on her dA (bookhobbit.deviantart.com)
Also, ccg.portmaneux.org is blocked by a firewall on my end, on all browsers I use. But Zipple has most of her bases on her dA. (zipple.deviantart.com) the only one missing is her portraits and ladybird, which I only have the latter :c
Both links for these two: http://www.janlenedollz.com/ & http://www.theyellowrosedolls.com/index.html are broken.
http://myumyu.se/pixel/index.htm (silent angel) is broke.
http://www.myimagination.eu/(seasons of life) now leads to a lingerie site.
Sanity Challenged's new link now leads to: http://ww38.sera.orange-crux.net/ which is blank.
PurpleDungeon (dagabster) is broken.
Porcelian doll's links need to be updated, her new site is here and her dA is now porcelian-doll.deviantart.com :)
Pink Moon Dolls link: http://www.pinkmoon.esmartdesign.com/ stopped hosting in 2011, and is broken.
http://www.mimisgrotto.com/ is now a Japanese site, idk I can't read it.
http://www.scintillaflaminia.com/ is not a doll site anymore (front page was how to cure acne or something)
http://www.matthoff.de/ is down. (the site is up, but it's up for sale?)
Mermaid Wings (aka http://emeraldshine.deviantart.com/) is de-activated.
Kristyn Dawn aka http://www.pixelbee.com/ is down.
http://jennsdollznsuch.com/ is now a different site.

and I haven't really checked any others, sorry D:

my site has been down for roughly a year now, my hostess's husband switched web host suddenly and there was a few problems. But i can't seem to get a hold of her now to get an update... :S so it maybe a while before my site comes back up or is rehosted.

I dont know if any of you are familiar with the wayback machine site but you cant copy and past a link to a dead site and if it was archived it will take you back to when the site was up and running a lot of the pictures are dead links and missing but i've been using it the last few days to scroll through and find if the creators of certain sites had DAs or any other way of finding them again. I am making a list as i go and when I finish I will post it here. I've also found A LOT of bases that are gone because the sites are dead. Could we possibly start a thread on Glam! with the old bases with credits to each creator and the link to what their site use to be? I hate the thought of losing so much of our history!

I second the above. I have tons of bases archived from the 2004-2007 era, and recent stuff, but I really have no idea what bases were around in between. Also would love to see dolls that were adopted from dead sites... so much is lost.

Can we do this? Like do a tributes thread or something for the dolls and the bases?
Also when I finish the list im working on do I post it here or start a new thread?

We should probably ask a mod first, just because it involves other people's work. If we could start a tribute thread (or threads? if we're involving dolls too they should probably be separate) that would be wonderful.

I apologize for never getting back on this. We did discuss it, I just forgot to respond.

While that idea is great, and Glam is not opposed to hosting bases that were lost because sites are down, we can't do it without the artist's permission. Unfortunately the largest issue with lost bases is not that there is no place to put them but that the artists have moved on and can't explicitly give permission. I don't see a way around this, to be honest. Additionally, a lot of old bases specifically state in the rules "don't give out to the homies". I don't believe that most of these bases considered a time when the majority of doll sites disappear and the bases can no longer be found at their original location, but we can't ignore the rules. Sorry :(
