Old: Base is my own.

Update 1: Help, is the curly hair ok? I don't know what I'm doing.
Update 2: Looser hair shape
Update 3: Dress!

Oooo, loving the base and the curly hair so far. The hair has such depth! My only critique is that the outside edge is a little too straight - if you add some longer loops to the outside, that'l give it a little more curl, like here: 3b curly hair

if that makes any sense. I'm not very good at explaining things.

I think I know what you mean. The base shape I gave the hair is a little too obvious. I'll work on that and update soon. :>

It is looking better. One suggestion is that curly hair tends to 'clump' rather than being seperate strands, so try drawing your hair shape in clump forms and it'll come out looking more natural.

I love the intensity of the red playing with the black. makes me think of Black Widow.

So the hair changed some cause I wanted to not use any of duckie's palettes so I wouldn't have to worry about crediting, hahaa..... which just made me realize I hadn't yet. >_> Whoops.

Anyway, not super sure about the contrast of any of this. The skin is the worst, especially the legs. Please CC me.

Oh, this already looks quite nice - the curls really pop out and I applaud you for drawing them because I've never been bold enough to try it, and the result is great. She kind of reminds me of a figure skater because of her white shoes and the style and cut of her dress, and even the way she's sitting - as if she's sitting down on the bench to adjust her skates before getting on the rink.

As CC goes, all the palettes seem rather monochromatic, and there's not a lot of coherence between them. Her hair seems to just be various shades of the same red, and likewise, her dress is just black with no other shades at all. I suggest always using your own palettes for this reason; that way, you can make sure that all the colours in the doll are kind of... communicating with each other, and you can have a unifying light source. I would also suggest using more in-between shades for the skin, to make it look smoother. Also, the two shoes seem to be identical, and though it does work, the pose would look more natural if the feet were in different positions. I get that shoes are tricky, though.

Played with the palette and changed the shoe.

I think the eyes could be a bit smaller, and maybe the tip of the nose a little more rounded (bulbous?). If you make the eyebrows a bit smaller to match the eyes that would work. Then just add that glorious red hair! :D

Make sure you have enough space in the size requirements! I didn't check, but the port is large already, and she's got huge hair. I'd hate for you to get farther and realize it's a bust
