Okay, so just letting you know that I am the same Sheesha as my other account, but I forgot my password and am locked out of my old email because Outlook is completely broken, so I signed up with a new account.

Hahaha, no, athough it looks like one. I wanted to bring Bulgarian flavour, and I noticed a lot of belt buckles (which may be called pafti?) styled like that in folk costume pictures.

I was hoping you were going to say yes and that the outfit is inspired by Bulgarian chaser, Victor Krum. I will keep living in my fantasy world.

Most of the entry looks really fabulous, the only problem I am seeing is with the jacket/sweater/cover. The folds look awkward and I'm not sure whats going on.

Why would I put a snitch on an outfit inspired by a chaser? I mean, come on.

I adore her face and the shading, you did absolutely lovely <3 Bats is right though, the jacket's sleeve shading is a little odd. With that fixed you've got a solid entry.

Yeah Krum was a Seeker. But that's off topic.
Also I did just notice, the portrait dress has far more lace than the FB dress. Idk if you want to add more to one or take away from the other :P or if it really matters. It took me a while to notice.

I think it is about the same amount of lace, but I set the dress lower on the fullbody, so it doesn't come up as high? I think. That is what I'm seeing when I specifically look at that detail. Because looking at where the collarbone falls in relation to the top of the dress... Her bra is way better in the portrait.

No, her boobs are too high in the portrait, I think. What do you think?

I think you're right actually, I think it's that her breasts are higher in the portrait than the FB. I hadn't even looked at that until you mentioned it haha

I tried redrawing the cardigan, but it's giving me a lot of grief. I actually had to step away for a bit, because my perfectionism was causing me to beat myself up pretty badly over it. I just... can't seem to get it to work out okay (I don't wear a lot of cardigans, myself, so I think not having intimate knowledge is a hindrance), but I think it's needed to givew cohesion between the black and gold tones.

I'd really appreciate some redlines, if anyone is willing.

I cant do red lines (as I am a judge and that would be like cheating) but I can link an image that is similar to your doll and point out where the cardigan does up and where that is it relation to the arms and body

Okay. I definitely need to add more of the front part of the cardigan(???), and I think I like where the right side falls, because elbow makes sense with the pose, but I should move the left side?

Any better? I don't mind the shape too much but I might tweak the palette again because one arm looks significantly darker, despite being the same colours. I also need to fix up the top of the dress, because it's kinda lazily drawn, since it was covered before.

This is lovely and I really like the coherence of it all, and her curls are great. The portrait's arm seems a bit too high though, and with the way it's bent it makes the forearm look shorter than it should, but that's just a minor detail - and I really like the hand. The belt on the fullbody could use a bit more definition too, especially compared with the portrait. The new version of the cardigan does look a lot better. Good luck in the pageant; I'm sure you'll do wonderfully. :)

I got... slightly carried away. I'm practically done round two already, heh.

The design is based on tikvenik, with her corset being the pumpkin and that phylo pastry skirt... thing. Using floral patterns and sheer fabric to tie her into round one.

It's never too carried away to get done early. I love her, I think her face is really sweet looking and the shading on her arm is excellent.

I am really, really struggling with this round.

This is my current sketch Image

I love the texture on the dress! I'm stuck on that part on mine so far ><

What do you need help with exactly? I love the trailing... red thing I don't know the proper term for. And the body language of that one is accurate to the ridiculous hip-thrusting, look at my penis trying to rip these pants poses they do.

The "trailing... red thing" is called muleta :P It has a stick attached to the upper part that's called estaquillador, it turns a regular "red thing" into a bullfighting tool. It's the main reason bullfighters can grab the muleta and wave it in front of the bull. Make sure to add that structure to it if you stick to this design. Here's a video that shows all its parts and how to put them all together; a close-up image of a bullfighter holding a muleta; and a side view of a folded one. This last image shows the bull, so there's a bit of blood in it.

As for the pose, it looks excessively feminine and provocative instead of the kind of poses you see from bullfighters. There are many traditions and rituals surrounding bullfighting, and almost all bullfighters make the same poses in front of the bull, even women. I would exaggerate the flaunting part a bit more, to give this doll a more powerful look, otherwise the gown will take all the attention away from it. They usually pose like that with their legs spread, or with both of them resting firmly on the ground, pulling the muleta behind their backs. Just one thing about the outfit, the taleguilla (the pants) should be longer, always below the knee. There's also a video covering that, you can see how those pants work at 4:15.

It doesn't really look to me like you're struggling, I think you just are lacking confidence in your ideas. What you have sketched out for basic design and filigree work is really lovely, and I think all you need to do is finish execution. The pose on the matador is fairly passive and could be made more dominant by having the far leg almost match the front but be slightly more visible behind her. It would be fairly hidden by the muleta, which can be a good thing or a bad thing.

Despite the cocky attitude and swagger, it's not necessarily a bad thing for the matador to play second fiddle to the ballgown, as long as the ballgown is super stunning. At this point, I wouldn't worry about making your entries into something that they're not, and focus instead on finishing the ideas that you've started.
