Southwest Boho

Post by DawnSierra » Sun Mar 05, 2017 7:06 am

'Scuse my laziness. I'm just copying from my DA page. lol I've been up for hoursssss with a cold.

"I'm not 100% happy with her but I'm just practicing really. I hate her skirt for one thing, it really should be more long and flowy and the color is too dark. Also the shoes are really meh. I wasn't too picky about color count or anything. Just trying some stuff out and trying to get back into drawing. I edited the face quite a bit. I wanted her to look sort of natural. ANYWAYS.. I tried.

eeee, this is so cute!! i love the way you've shaded the white - it looks so smooth and i find that hard to do with white, tbh haha. her face edit is super cute, too!!

(i'm so happy you're dolling again :'D )

Thanks Blackfyre! :)
Since I wasn't using a palette I got to cheat a bit on the shirt. I shaded in white and greys but it was too harsh. I used a 60% or so opacity layer of plain white to smooth out the colors. I'll have to save these colors next time I do white. White can be such a pain...

It's really not bad since you keep insisting you're oh so rusty! The palette for the hair is gorgeous.
