I thought the intention was merely diversion, but I may have misunderstood. Regardless, that's an awesome idea. They could be part of the background! And anyone who wants to do one may, and if nobody does, I'll make them. :B

Thank you (:bookhobbit wrote:Aaah, I hate it when that happens! Sympathies.
Even if it does take a long time, though, you do it beautifully.
And if Axx could find the other duckie base and it works or someone edits the base we're using, I'd totally make a zombie.

Ah xD I think the only problem is the pose doesn't seem very zombie-like. Which is the problem I was having when I tried looking.

Delaaaaaayyyed. Also, I think it would look fine if the hair was behind her arm on the right, but I really like the left better, not going to lie.

We could keep it with just "us" and put some tiny zombie silhouettes in the background, just black blurbs or something... if dolling a couple zombies seem like too much. Either or you know.

I wanted to give my girl some sort of belt but I couldn't decide what kind. Thought of an ammo belt but failed at that. xD

I'd like to throw myself in as the inevitably crazy person with Molotov's. Unlit of course, for the moment.

I think I might change the pose and see what works better. And you're right, the shorts needs some ripping and changing.mybeautifulparanoiax wrote:Definitely is an odd post, but I love her hair~ If I'll be honest I think the shorts are odd too. Maybe rip them? I don't know though, it seems a lot of people are giving their dolls really basic outfits and i'm over here in latex and knee high combat boots xD
As for the basic outfit, it's kind of a self portrait I suppose, so it's what I would wear in a zombie apocalypse...

I like Ody's idea of sort of...shadow zombies. Or--I am not incapable. I could see if I could shrink down the duckie base and fiddle with the poses a bit? Or. Something. ^'^ We've got til...what, August, right? So. -waves hands around-

If anyone could give the duckie base arms that sort of reach forward or something, we could definitely use them
Oh, and I wanted to ask something. I'm bringing medical supplies and I wondered if something like a "zombie cure" would be acceptable? Or would that be "too easy" in a zombie apocalypse? xP If that's not cool, then what kind of medicin is liquid and would look awesome in a large glass tank/bottle?
EDIT:

My progress! I changed the pose, the shorts and added lots of other things. As you probably can tell, I've appointed myself as medic. An unhealthy, unhygienic and lazy medic...
I think I'm nearly done, just wondering if I should put a label on the bottle in the background, or if I should remove it altogether and only use it for the supply pixel.

I love the bottle. And the rest of it. xD The gloves are an awesome touch--I'm scared she's about to stick her elbow on that needle though. A label would be good, I think. Something obscure and mildly threatening. xD Y'know, like, "Ingredient X"
[edit]
Oh, also, I'll see if I can fiddle the arms into something zombie-esque when I get the chance. ^^

Haha, it does look like she's about to stick the needle in her elbow... I'm going to pretend the needle is a bit behind her elbow >u>
I was thinking of labeling the bottle "Zom-B-Gone", maybe it could be something you inject into your veins to make yourself undelicious to the zombies for 30 minutes or something, thus giving you a chance to escape or go on a dangerous scavenging mission or something...

Re: the Glam! Zombie Apocalypse Surviver collab

Yay progress! Not sure if I wanna tear the shirt or not...Also, glasses--yay or nay?
Almost done, or nearabouts; gotta finish the boots, the bag, and add some weaponry. And maybe bandages... And of course the loose cans. Not sure whether or not I'm gonna finish those actually..maybe. we'll see. I think the box of cans is pretty much done though.
Starairi- Zom-B-Gone sounds hilarious to me. XD In a good way.
Also, that's totally a Chicken-approved response. "What's that? Logic says that doesn't make sense?...well...yes...but...Let's just pretend it doesn't."

Re: the Glam! Zombie Apocalypse Surviver collab
Oh, I like it! And as for the glasses, it's a bit difficult to say what works best. The glasses go really well with the rest of the outfit, but at the same time they obscure the eyes a bit. So I don't know. But for some reason I like her with glasses.
I thought Zom-B-Gone would be fun, but I'm having trouble fitting it on a label without it looking like just a bunch of random pixels or without the label being too big and hiding most of the bottle... So for now I'm going with a simple "X".

Woah. I go and go to sleep and all this is happens! You guys are the best.
Okay, I like the shadow zombies idea because it's not too much effort and also I'm thinking part of the BG is going to be in shadow. So they'd sort of fit in?
Star, the zombie cure sounds cool! If this were a movie, it would add suspense because of the time limit etc. That's a cool idea. She looks gorgeous, too; the bottle is so sparkly, and I love the gloves and boots and hair.
Chicken - I always vote yay on glasses. Got to be able to see what you're fighting. Also I love how that shirt shading looks. And dang that box is realistic.

Re: the Glam! Zombie Apocalypse Surviver collab
I'm hoping the Molotov's are an okay suggestion... Since I may have a small collection of them. Can't decide on a type of bottle though. What do you guy's think? What colour glass? Also, anyone think a particular brand might be acceptable for molotovs? Or should I do a big variety like they've raided the nearest pub?

OH
Sorry, Spyder, I forgot! Molotovs are fine. I think it would be cool if you do a big variety, but it is up to you!

Mm. I'm thinking little vodka bottles looks cute.. But my partner suggested malibu and jack daniels too. I think they may well look good ig I get them right :/
Hmm. I should possibly consider my character design, instead of doodling tiny alcohol.

I love when molotovs are in green bottles. Like. I don't even know. But the higher the alcohol content, the better. So.
Also--I think I'll go with the glasses. I like glasses.

Done my supplies! I've started to think that they are a bit too large now, even though I intended them to be quite large... Oh well, any comments?
And the label, does it work? If it does, then I'll post my doll with the label on the bottle too, and then I'm DONE!

Cool! I'll go ahead and post my finished doll!

Hooray! My second collab doll done! On the subject of collab dolls... How's the general opinion of posting the doll you've done for a collab on things like DA before the collab is done? Is it considered bad manners, or can I go ahead and upload mine there? (:

Yesss, awesome!
You know, I've always uploaded it as soon as I was done making it. So if it's bad manners, I'm guilty as sin and you can go ahead and do it anyway as revenge on me for being so unmannerly. :p Feel free to post it wherever.

Just kidding (: It's just that this is my first time really participating in the dolling community, so I didn't know if there where any specific codes of conduct. So thanks for clearing that up! I'll go and post it EVERYWHERE!
