Monge

Postby JuhCashew » Tue Jul 01, 2014 8:41 pm

I'd thought last week it would be a great idea to make an animated pixel art of a hurdy-gurdy, a medieval musical instrument, so I started pixeling a friend of mine's hurdy-gurdy. Its name is Monge, which means "monk" in Portuguese.

I'd almost regretted making it when I realized I'd need such an amount of frames. I like how it turned out, though.

Stopped, moving only the crank, playing a music and another version of the last one, because I realized it was too fast.

If anyone gets curious, this is my friend playing Monge. I've tried to "reproduce" the music that starts at 1:34 in the gif

This is amazing! My favourite would have to be the fourth version, the one slowed down.

Thank you, people ^^
@Sweet Raspberry Tea: with a lot of patience, idk LOL
@Mogget: To combine both animations (crank and keyboard) without losing the "rhytm" (xD), I had ended up with lots of repeated frames, and a total number of 660 frames @_@ had I combined the repeated frames and adjusted the speed appropriately, I think I'd have a reduced amount, but I was too lazy and tired of this piece to do it hahaha
