What I Learned From...

For all the fun and games!

What I learned from IMVU:

1. They NEVER listen, not even to VIPs. (This in itself is really sad, they turn a deaf ear to those paying a monthly fee)

2. They are too busy adding on crap we don't want or need, instead of focusing on making the program more stable. (I do not care about games, or if I can view anyone adding me as a buddy live.... MAKE THE PROGRAM STABLE!)

3. They lie about their so called "stats", I have never received a survey for anything they wanted to add to the program... anyone else? (They asked ALL these people and they agreed that we needed to force interests on everyone's HPs - I wasn't one they asked. They also asked many who said we need to kill ALL old triggered music that they said they were NOT going to get rid of... HA!)

4. I will NEVER be getting VIP, wouldn't waste my money I'll just put it up for a monthly fee that's worth my while.... (Hmm, a webhost, domain name... OH! WoW! you know something I can actually get KICKASS customer service, even if you are a free member!)
"We are all like fireworks. We climb, shine, and always go our separate ways and become further apart. But even if that time comes, let's not disappear like a firework, and continue to shine forever." ~Hitsugaya Toushiro (BLEACH)

Since some people have WoW related posts, here's my perspective.
What I learned from having a(n ex) boyfriend who plays WoW:
1) You will never go to bed on time
2)If you do, he will stay up and play and wake you up when he's done
3) Don't try to plan anything when he needs to go online
4) Beware of "one more quest"
5) You become good at tuning out video games, but you still don't get much work done
6) Sometimes, the game is just more important than you. Face it.

In short, I know this will put a target on my back but I hate that game. :P

What I've Learned From Sims 3
1. Expansion packs are overpriced outrageously
2. Even if the pack is awesome, people will complain about it
3. EA sucks
4. Try not to have too clear a picture in your head of what you want; just hope for the best.
5. Flowers are awesome
6. EA sucks a lot
7. Updates take a ridiculously long time
8. EA sucks worse than a terrible pun
9. No matter how much EA sucks, we'll still buy their games, and they'll never listen to our complaints/suggestions/comments/raeging

What I've Learned From Digital Art
1. Once you start doing "digital art" it's hard to keep your dolls looking like dolls
2. PSE is evil
3. The more I like a drawing/don't want to redraw a drawing, the more likely my computer is to crash

What I Learned from Jersey Shore:
1. Being fake'n'baked does not make you pretty. But it does make you look significantly older.
2. Promiscuous sex, apparently, has no consequences. Yay!
3. Being lazy and obnoxious is OKAY.
4. Verbal abuse in a relationship is just how love works. And No..You can't just break up!
5. The only way to enjoy an evening is by drinking until belligerent, sleeping with a stranger, and perhaps some violence.

What I Learned From Dogsitting:
1. Don't let the dog out of your sight.
2. Never leave the back door open, because he will run in and out tracking mud everywhere.
3. Keep the food bowl full, or else he'll dig in the trash.
4. Be prepared for snuggling.

What I learned from working in a women's clothing store:
1) (Some) women are terrible. Others are awesome.
2) Never scare the person on cash. She/he is working a mile a minute.
3) Employee discounts are never enough!
4) Don't put pretty stuff on the top hooks- people will want to try them on too much
5) According to your company, you are dirt.. unless they want you for management.
6) If you show up your boss, you put a target on your back.
7) Being a personal shopper is really fun!
8) Staff meetings, unless paid for, are a complete and total waste of time.

Things I've learned from NaNoWriMo:

1. Sleep is for the weak.
2. Editing is for December.
3. How much yarn is required to knit a sweater for a giraffe. (Expert NaNo knitters estimate somewhere around 200oz.)
4. I can, in fact, write 50,000 words in thirty days, although whether any of those words are readable remains to be seen.
5. The third week of any month-long venture will be the worst.

Things I learned from a stalker of mine:
1) Absolutely every comment you make will somehow be incorporated into a pity party journal even when it obviously isn't about them
2) If you make a journal making a vague comment about someone, it is OBVIOUSLY them and there will be a retaliation journal and war that involves all mutual friends
3) Even though it's been two years and they are STILL watching every move you make, obviously you are the one who can't let go
4) Apparently, assassins from the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim are real
5) Even when the journals and comments you make have absolutely nothing to do with them, you still get explicitly bashed because ^ see 2. It's always about them.

Why am I on DeviantART again? I only became aware of this crap yesterday.

What I Learned From Teaching 8th Graders
1. 8th graders possess much less logic skills than you would expect.
2. The only thing standing between order and Lord of the Flies is the illusion of power.
3. Hormones. Oh, the horror.
4. Inside they all want you to love them.

What I learned from playing Mass Effect 3
1. Almost every single mission is designed to make you cry.
2. If you see an old team mate, they'll either be there to help you, end up making a sacrifice, or both.
3. Even if you know something's about to happen, denial is always the first and best option.
4. All the friends saying you'd need tissues while playing the game are completely right.
5. Multiplayer co-op is one of the best parts of the game.

What I learned from playing Skyrim:
1. I freaking love this style of game and always will.
2. This style of game is really bad for my eyes and if I try playing for very long I will die horribly because I can't see anything more of the time anyway.
3. Do not kill a chicken.
4. No really, do not kill a chicken.
5. If you kill a chicken when you walk into the first town(River-whatever) because you're trying to learn how to use your controls, that chicken's owners will attack you, and you will kill them.
6. If you kill someone, their friends and family will attack you.
7. If you kill a bunch of people from one town, you have to kill the rest of them. Yes, even the on that gives you the first quest.
8. If you kill the guy who gives you the first quest, you have to wander around aimlessly until a guard picks you up and takes you, conveniently, to where you actually needed to go anyway.
9. If you kill everyone in an entire town, you get mad loot.

3 Things Ive learned while living with my future Mother In Law

1. Your fiancee will expect you to hate each other.
2. When you do not end up hating each other, He will question if he REALLY wants the two most powerful women in his life to be best friends
3. The answer to number two will most likely be No, he does not.

^ ROFL

What I Learned from RPing:
1) I don't easily cry in real life, but when it comes to my characters somehow the waterworks just happen
2) Everything eventually becomes relatable to an RP or a character (for example I saw a girl that looked like Lizzie earlier and I flailed a little)
3) My word check lies to me. My character's names ARE real names actually.
4) I can get the craziest inspiration out of absolutely nowhere (especially in the shower)
5) I sometimes procrastinate crazy amounts on my homework for it

What I've learnt from playing Neopets:

1) Neocash, in events, even though only for clothing/ accessories and not actually needed to complete said event, people will complain like no tomorrow. (Even the people who buy it like no tomorrow)
2) The "newbie board" scares me.
3) I spend too much time on this site. *sob*

What I've learnt from work:

1) Teenagers' diets consist of only Jr. Chicken and thai sauce. (Or so I am starting to believe)
2) The smell of coffee officially makes me want to throw up now.
3) God help you if you accidently ring in a senior coffee as a small in the drive thru. (I'm very sorry, it's hard to tell by voices some times..)

What I learned from...

Dolling:
1. I am a lazy MF D:
2. I have a better chance of finishing something when I'm at the end of a deadline
3. I really procrastinate!
4. I enjoy making the bases for dolls more than actually making the doll (therefore I have like many bases I won't release until I finish the doll I created the base for!)
5. I like to doll other people's OC's because I don't have to come up with a design myself D: (See number 1.)

MMO-Gaming:
1. (Gaming)Boys are easy!
2. Online relationships CAN actually turn into the real thing, even if you live on the other side of the world! (After having an online relationship for like 6 years and meeting a couple times in the US I moved out to Sweden to live with my boyfriend, the love of my life who I first met in like 2004ish on a cute MMO called Ragnarok Online)

What I've learned from fixing up a house:
1. There is always something nasty underneath.
2. Wear a dust mask. I have asthma and holy crap there is an ungodly amount of dust in old carpets.
3. If you're gonna ask a family member to help, look back and ask if they've helped with things in the past. No? Then they will spend the whole time effing around.
4. Even though I wanted to completely renovate the house, the only real remaining piece is the loft hardwood flooring. There will always be an old feature you want to preserve.
5. Most important, take a damn break!

What I learned from working at Disney,
1. Disney exploits young cheap to pay college students from literally around the world with empty promises (most make the best of it)
2. You better be willing to give up on your personal life because if you don't have seniority your screwed
3. You WILL always be out of your comfort zone
4. People will treat you worse then dog shit
5. You are a slave
6. In the end somehow it's still worth ruining your image of Disney and losing all family time (especially during holidays) to be part of something so amazing
7. The people you work with will either be enemies or become family

What I learned from Game Night with my RL best friends:
1. Anything, and I mean absolutely anything no matter how politically incorrect will become a joke
2. When you can't decide what game to play, you usually end up in a big pile of limbs
3. You will inevitably end up in a pile of limbs anyway
4. Friend's dad will likely come down, laugh at the cuddlepile and take pictures
5. I still haven't found these pictures on Facebook
6. We can discuss any subject and still not hate each other
7. I really do love them even if they're pains in the arses 99.9% of the time ;)

What I learned from playing Lords of the Realm II, which I still play, despite the fact it is 18 years old:
1) Never conquer a desireable, central territory right off the bat because you'll be on the defensive for the rest of the game.
2) Don't exploit your people - keep them happy.
3) Sometimes it's more satisfying to lose with a risky maneuver than it is to win with a sure-fire bet.
4) No matter how bad things are, never ever give up.
