Not sure what brought this on, but I can definitely see where it's coming from... What do you think?

I can't tell if the writer is supportive of it or hates it, lol.

I'm not sure either. The writer seems kind of ambivalent, like she doesn't know what she thinks of it either... I'd say that the clothing in the dollmakers are kind of a more extreme version of what was considered fashionable in the 90s or early 2000s - but then again it's not really my place to talk about that, since I'm probably a bit too young to remember it...

It sounds to me like the author dislikes it, because it all appears to me to be written in a rather negative tone. I haven't noticed anything of the sort, but then, I never paid particularly much attention the more fashionable end of dolling anyhow, nor do I generally notice what people are wearing while I'm out walking or what... so maybe?

I hardly see the equal of irl clothing and dollmaker fashions from the early 2000s. I remember Palace dollmakers exactly like that was how I got into dolling actually, and I probably searched through each and every website looking for new ones back when I was kid. I don't think in the slightest that she's right, tbh. I mean, there are a couple exceptions (ie. people who actually LIKE those clothes) but I haven't seen anyone wearing a hot pink ankle-length skirt since the Josie and the Pussycats movie that came out in 2001. lol

Well yeah in LA they're typically all around. I work at Six Flags and I can tell ya, people love to dress like that quite a bit, but in general it's hard to see them anywhere outside a major major city like LA or NYC.
